Baahubali The Beginning, this years highest opening South Indian Movie directed by famous successful director SS Rajamouli has proved to be worth the wait. Movie does not fail to amaze the audience with the visual brilliance and grandeur.

In simple the movie is about a boy, Shivudu brought up by a tribal family climbing the mountain to know about what his life is in real and how a woman, Sivagami, sacrificed her life to keep him alive for another woman, his mother Devasena, to be rescued from the living hell created by a tyrant king Bhallaladeva of Maahishmati, the Kingdom above the mountains. To achieve the heights of the mountain, Avantika, a Rebel helps him. Does he know who he is, who Baahubali is, how is he related to the Kingdom Maahishamti and Rajamata Sivagami forms the main plot.

This movie has been split into two parts. Hence this part ends with a cliff hanger and promises a BAAHUBALI THE CONCLUSION in a years time. This proves to be the biggest plus point for the upcoming sequel as it has got audience’s interest piqued. But it also proves to be a drawback to this part as the movie leaves people hanging.

This was a very calculated risk by the director and his crew, which did not fail him. So no loss until now.

And another plus to the movie was the ensemble cast selected by the director. They fit in the movie like perfect pieces of puzzle. Prabhas and Anushka who already were paired twice and proved to have awesome Chemistry have been paired up again. Individually with the director, its their second association. Tamannah and Prabhas who are being paired for second time also add their credits to the movie. Rana Daggubati who is doing a negative role and associating with Director S.S. Rajamouli for first time looks relaxed and magnificent on screen. Prabhas plays both his roles with ease. Anushka who though came on screen for very limited time, did manage to pull everyone’s hearts in that minimum time with her fierce acting. Tamannah who is doing such role for first time, has stood to expectation. After a long time, Ramya Krishnan is seen such strong role and doesn’t fail to capture everyone’s attention. Others too stick to their parts well.

Visual Effects are the main backbone of this movie. The brilliant effects of this movie have taken the experience to another level. The waterfalls, The fantasy Kingdom, the 100 Ft Statue and the big war sequence everything makes you widen your eyes.

Music is not the usual Keeravani Standard. But since this is not the usual romance type movie, the background score is well composed. The songs have come out well too.

Like they say nothing is perfect, even such visually brilliant movie has some drawbacks. This includes the nearly 40 minutes war sequence in the climax which looks dragged. There are some places where we can notice the continuity missing which implies poor editing. Well, they say we are not supposed to search for logics or science in fantasy, but in some places this movie questions the same!

On the whole, the movie is worth the wait to watch keeping apart logics and it has come out brilliant. S. S. Rajamouli has proved himself and has managed to raise the standard of Indian cinema. Mainly you are not to miss the new Kilikili language.

PS: This movie is Telugu/Tamil Bilingual and is releasing in other languages like Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi as well.
